From psychological jargon to silence

In several past years, we've seen so many self appointed individuals and groups mightily whistling a heated dialogue where personal attacks and rumors brewed without no form of maturity.

As a result, discussion lost it's meaning and became a stumbling block against progress, converting the time of learning into confusion. Such a political culture created leadership vacuum that depressed the diaspora Oromo political activity, while further fracturing  the Oromo Liberation Front into various shades.   This political environment also produced few midget minded tugs who currently serve the enemy as a hammer and nail against the Oromo people .

Farewell Ode to Tilahun Gessesse

Redressing  the Disabuse of his Biography by the Abyssinian Corner Apr 27

The purpose of this article is to express my condolence to the families and friends of the beloved artist and to rectify also the disabuse of scribes of the Abyssinian corner and for the sake of setting straight his story.

My Knowledge of Daandanaa Ayyaano Guddata, (aka Tilahun Gessesse Negussie)

The first time I met Daandanaa Ayyaano Guddata was in Tiqimt 1956 (about 1963). The place was Bella Haile-Sellassie, the Imperial Body Guards (Ye Kibri Zebenya Hospital, at Guchii (Sagon)) Division in Finfinnee/Shagaar. He was in full IBG military uniform standing at the gate.

I saw Daandanaa (Tilahun) again after he allowed us into the hospital standing with Captain Sahile Dagago of Illu Abbabor and chatting in Afaan Oromo. Of course, I heard about him before too that he was a singer from Ammayya. My visual knowledge of Daandanaa/Tilahun at first glance did not give me sufficient knowledge about him except an impression with his physical appearance - a handsome guy with good physical stature.

Towards a Better Knowledge and Understanding of his story...

The grand son of Mekonen guddina claims 5 milleniums of Abyssinian history.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syw-Z6aH5tc

Propagating Abyssinian myth: The grand son of Mekonen Guddina claims 5 millniums of  Abyssinian history, in one of Abysinians lattest move to corrupt history.
In her introdution speech, Mary Jane Deep, Chief of Africa and Middle Eastern division of the the library of congress says, the library of the congress is blessed and honored by the visit of the Ethiopian Royal Higness, Prince Ermias H/selassie, the grand son of Mekonen Gudeta. Sad, just sad. The so called Royal family of Ethiopia must be prosecuted for crime against humanity than given such a honor. She also mentioned the title of H/selasie when he was crowned in 1930, as king of Kings, Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of Juda..... It is sad that this Abyssinians Depteras are  still corrupting history and confuse  the world.

The Epitome of Ethiopian superstition

Buda Belat
Abebe Haregewoin, MD, Ph. D.
A very pretty teen age girl was brought to the emergency room at Fenote Selam Hospital in the middle of the night in a state of apparent uncontrolled shrieking alternating with strange gesticulations, shivering and writhing. Her hapless father with his eyes filled with terror was holding his daughter’s waist and trying to restrain her restless hands and fists from self inflicted injury.  The poor man looked totally exhausted from his struggle from this sylph of a girl, who seemed to have endless and uncontrollable power of an angry lioness. There was also a rope tied to her waist and gripped by her father’s gnarled peasant fists, apparently to prevent her from running away and do herself grievous harm. It was apparent from the red and bleeding welts on her face and exposed chest that she has been scratching and beating her face and chest uncontrollably.  A couple of scratches on the father’s cheeks and nose revealed that he has also been a victim of her tireless nails and fists.

The Queen of Carthage Vrs Ethiopian first Lady

The latest " Queen of Carthage", the disposed first lady Leila Trabelsi, has many things in common with her counter part in Addis Ababa, Qedamwit Emebet( First Lady) Azeb Mesfin. Before forced to flee from the nation that she looted for over 20 years, Leila and her extended family had strong hold on businesses, contraction, and foreign investments. The first ladyof Ethiopia, her extended family and the TPLF have in similar ways controlled Ethiopia's wealth for the past 20 years. Leila was a hate figure in Tunisia for grasping corruption, so is Azeb and her mafia family.

Burtukan’s Journey: From Dawn to dusk

Pre- election 2005

The vaguely known naïve lawyer came to the light of publicity when she released one Tigray mafia on bail. She released a hardliner Tigrean mafia named Siye Abraha on bail from detention and as a result made herself a deadly enemy of another Tigrean mafia which ruled the country. That gave her immediate popularity in the empire, particularly among power hungry Abyssinians whose spirit of ruling the country was irreversibly crushed during the socialist revolution in Ethiopia.
That was when ruminants of the feudal children, who at the time mobilized themselves under the name CUD, saw opportunity in the young naïve Oromo lawyer, to come back to throne. Father Naftenyas used Oromos for their political goals since the time of Menelik. It is unforgettable that Menelik himself used prominent Oromo leaders and horse mensuch as Gobana and Habtegiorgis Dinagde to crush the Oromo nation to effectively colonize them. After helping Menelik crush all Oromo forces and Sothern nations, Gobana was systematically eliminated. At this time in history again, the CUD leaders needed a mobilizing leader from among the Oromo, or at least with an Oromo blood, a leader that not only rally Abyssinians, but also certain section of the ’defiant’ Oromo mass.

What is myth about Ethiopia!

Every nation has myths, superstitions, legends and tales. The national history of most countries in the world however is different from myths and superstitions. The case of Ethiopia seems different. In history classes, from high school to university, the education system teaches mythology. History book were derived from myth . An Habash history Professor at Addis Ababa university teaches myths. No body seems to save the country from these myths. Let me share some of these Ethiopian myths, which are taken as reality in most Habesha Ethiopian minds.
1). Connection to the Legendary queen of Sheba
Queen Sheba is a mystic figure. The Hebrew biblical account indicates there had been a trade relationship between the legendry king Salomon and an unnamed queen from the land of SHEBA. It was not indicated in this account where this land of SHEBA is. The Hebrew biblical text contains songs which some people interpret as a romantic relationship between the two.
In Arab and the Holy Quran, the same queen is referred to as Balqis, and she worshiped sun god and later king Solomon converted her to Islam. (1) The country over which she ruled was however not clear.
Historians trace queen Sheba to the Nile valley civilization, i.e, the Nubian civilization, to which Greek writers referred as Ethiopian. Some historians argue that the ancient Egyptian name Hatshepsut translates as "Queen of Sheba".
